Sabina Ghislandi holds a PhD in Archaeology (University of York, UK, 2017). She has worked as free-lance archaeologist in Northern Italy and, in recent years, in Liguria. From 2022 to 2023 she has joined the JPI Cultural Heritage project “IRIS – Inspiring Rural Heritage” as post-doc, at the University of Genoa. Starting from July 2023, she is member of the ANTIGONE project. Her research interests concern the application of soil micromorphology and more generally of geoarchaeology, to investigate the relationship between anthropic activity and environment. She has analysed sedimentary contexts of Palaeolithic-Neolithic caves, Protohistoric settlements and archaeological graves (Punic, Roman and Middle Age). Regarding ANTIGONE, Sabina is using her expertise in soil micromorphology in the case studies of Ligurian Appennines and Basque Country.
