Matteo Tacca holds a PhD in “Modern and Contemporary History” (University of Italian Switzerland, 2020). From 2021 to 2023 he was involved as a post-doc researcher in the PRIN project “Beyond Municipalities: towards a new reading of local politics 1200-1800” at the University of Eastern Piedmont. Starting from March 2023 he is post-doc researcher at the University of Genoa for the ANTIGONE project. His research interests are focused on the history of local societies and their political languages, as well on the practices of exploitation and management of natural resources. In the context of ANTIGONE he is investigating on the social morphology of local communities and on political conflicts for the exploitation of resources such as woodlands and waters, particularly for the case studies of the Ligurian Appennines and French Pyrenees.
