Giulia Bizzarri is a PhD Student at the Department of Antiquities, Philosophy, History (University of Genoa). She obtained her BA (Hons) in History and Archaeology from the University of the Highlands and the Islands (Inverness, Scotland) and completed her Master’s Degree in Prehistory and Historical Archaeology at the University of Vienna. She is an archaeologist specialising in the post-Medieval period, with a focus on building archaeology and social history. Within the ANTIGONE project, she is currently carrying out research on rural settlements and landscapes in Eastern Liguria (Monte Fasce, Genova) and Cerdagne (French Pyrenees), with a focus on the social dynamics taking place within and around architectural structures, especially looking at socio-economic change between the 18th and the early 20th century in rural areas.
