Davide Attoliniis a PhD Student at the Department of Antiquities, Philosophy and History (University of Genoa). He obtained his BSc from the University of Genoa and and his MSc in Life science (University of Florence), with a thesis on the process of formation of phytoliths in Festuca (Poaceae). He worked in the field of archaeobotany in Florence, contributing to ongoing investigations that involved pollen, phytolith, and starch grains analysis. His PhD, which focuses on archaeobotanical analyses in the field of Environmental history and archaeology, is tightly linked with the ANTIGONE project: Davide is involved in the case-study of Perlezzi, where is he is carrying out the analysis of sediment cores to reconstruct the history of land management practices.
