Chiara Molinari holds a PhD (2010) in Historical Geography for the Development of the Environmental and Historical Heritage, School of Human Sciences, University of Genoa (Italy) and a graduated degree (2003) in Forestry and Environmental Sciences at the Agrarian Faculty of Turin University (Italy). She is a researcher in palynology, palaeoecology and archaeobotany. She is presently involved as a post-doc researcher in the ERC2019 Starting Grant “ANTIGONE” at the University of Genoa, with a project focused on “Palynology as a tool to reconstruct past environmental management practices in European mountains”. During her previous employment (2010-2021) at Lund University (Sweden), she was specialized in the study of main causes/consequences of past biomass burning activity on global/regional vegetation dynamics, climate variations and anthropogenic activities.
