Beatriz González Montes holds a PhD from the University of Oviedo since 2022. She received her doctorate with research focused on hydraulic archaeology, which obtained the highest qualification: cum laude, being proposed to the Extraordinary Doctorate Award -pending resolution-. For the achievement of this thesis, she had the predoctoral contract “Severo Ochoa” for the junior researchers from the Principality of Asturias, obtained in competitive competition. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Genova linked to the ANTIGONE project. Her research interests focus on rural hydraulic archaeology, especially in the late Middle Ages and post-medieval periods. In the ANTIGONE project she is integrated into the archaeological research of several case studies in Spain and France.
