Andrés Menéndez Blanco holds a PhD in Humanistic Research from the University of Oviedo (2019). In 2021 he started working as a postdoctoral researcher in the ANTIGONE project and since 2022 he is a “Margarita Salas” contract worker at the University of Oviedo to develop a new project (TEMPA) associated to ANTIGONE. Previously he has worked both in projects for different Spanish universities and research centres and in commercial archaeology. His main line of research is Landscape Archaeology, applied to rural mountain areas in northwestern Spain from a long-term perspective. Within the ANTIGONE project he has developed archaeological surveys in the mountains of the Basque Country and Asturias.
